Colorado Rockies infielder and 2000 Socorro High School graduate Omar Quintanilla is scheduled to appear at a civil case hearing today in Judge Mike Herrera's 383rd District Court.

Michelle Rivera, the mother of Quintanilla's 6-year-old daughter, Carla Maria Rivera, alleges she did not receive court-ordered monthly child-support payments of $3,500 from May 1, 2004, through Aug. 1.

Rivera is seeking a lump sum payment of $56,000 from Quintanilla, as well as the purchase of a $1 million life insurance policy for the child and $7,500 to cover attorneys' fees.
