The Toronto Humane Society urges anyone thinking ofadopting a pet to bring a best friend home this Thanksgiving. "Adoption fees are waived for dogs and cats this Thanksgiving weekend,"says Lynda Elmy, communications manager. "What better time than Thanksgivingfor potential adopters to experience and be thankful for the joy a pet bringsto our life?" The Toronto Humane Society is crowded with cats, kittens and dogsdeserving of the love and warmth a new home will provide. Potential adopterswill follow the adoption process by filling out an application andparticipating in an adoption interview. Included with each adoption: - Vaccinations to date - Six weeks Pet Plan insurance - Microchip identification implant - Flea control treatment - Cat or dog care information booklet - Many shelter animals have already been spayed or neutered Adoptions start on Friday, October 7 through to closing on Monday,October 10.
