After 175 collision-related deaths last year on B.C. roads, the provincial government is teaming up with ICBC and Vancouver police and asking commuters to exercise caution for Zero Crash Month this October.

According to Public Safety Minister John Les, 22,000 car crashes are expected to result in 6,000 injuries this October but as the winter months approach he hopes drivers will slow down and keep their eyes on the road.

According to crash survivor and spokesperson for the B.C. Paraplegic Association Stephanie Cadieux, being involved in a collision can change your life in the blink of an eye.
