The program is known as MILK, Managing Information about Lost Kids. It's a database that helps missing kids become found. Just bring in your kids, they'll snap their pictures, get their prints and weigh them.
Once in the database your child's information will get updated every 6 months, and that data will be connected to 15,000 police departments around the nation.
"If you wait until you've looked everywhere and then realize your child is gone and then call police. A matter of minutes can save a child's life. In this case here with the amber alert this is tied directly to that," Farmer's Insurance Agent Jim White said.
