Ken Glass, First Horizon chairman and CEO, stated in a release that "it's been an honor to work with the leaders at this company who have made this an exceptional place for not only working mothers, but also for the rest of our employees."

In compiling the list, Working Mother measured and scored seven areas of work/life balance including workforce profile, compensation, child care, flexibility, time off and leaves, family-friendly programs and company culture.

First Horizon answered a 500-question survey which checked the availability, tracking and usage of programs to support working mothers, the accountability of managers to implement programs and the successful advancement of women into top paying jobs, board positions and management ranks. The company was also required to submit benefits handbooks and supporting documentation.
