While most people avoid doing work at home, the Taylors enjoy working out of their house. Their insurance business, The Taylor Group of Insurance and Financial Services, is based out of their kitchen and basement.

"Our priority is our family," said JoDana Bright-Taylor. "We work out of our home on purpose and the agents who work for us also work out of their homes."

Tim Taylor started his insurance business in Salem in 1998. In 2000, Bright-Taylor earned her insurance license and took over the administrative end of the business.

Starting about a year ago, Taylor and Bright-Taylor worked half in Salem and half out of their new home being rebuilt in Neotsu. When the home was finished, they moved the business here.

"Every person's situation is different," Bright-Taylor said, and in recognition of that, they work with 40 different insurance companies so they can offer the plan that best suits their client.
